Disappointing

As a massive fan of the original fragrance, I had high expectations for Big Night Extrait. The OG is absolute magic, rich, bold, and easily a staple in my collection. Naturally, I expected an Extrait de Parfum concentration to take everything that made the original great and dial it up in performance, richness, and depth. After eagerly waiting 12 days for this bottle to arrive, the letdown was even worse.
Unfortunately, Big Night fails to deliver on that promise.
The moment you spray it on skin, the opening collapses almost immediately. Within mere seconds, it drops straight to a faint skin scent. For an Extrait concentration where oil content is supposed to guarantee strong projection and extended longevity the complete lack of performance is baffling and frankly unacceptable at this price point. You shouldn't have to bury your nose in your wrist immediately after application just to verify you actually put fragrance on.
If you are buying this expecting an upgraded, longer-lasting, or more powerful evolution of the original, save your money. It lacks the presence of the OG and fails to meet the basic standards of an Extrait. After a nearly two-week wait for shipping, this turned out to be a deeply frustrating purchase.

Avery did a fantastic job with ube brulee. I think this is ao worthy of an oil to go with it. This is so well blended and so well put together i can honestly say i have nothing like it in my collection. I absolutely will continue to buy fragrances they avery creates!! She is magical!! And this is so unquite!! So beautiful and u can smell each note!! One word masterpiece!!

I have NOT smelled the original, so my review is as a stand alone fragrance. My first time wearing it was close to 100 degrees with high humidity, and this did NOT disappoint. Strong projection, GREAT sillage and longevity. As a stand alone fragrance, I would strongly recommend.

Amazing, very similar to the original one. My first time using it and already received compliments. Definitely will come back for a bigger bottle, if you own this one you don’t need the original.

So this perfume is similar to Le Labo 13, when I first purchased another 13 it was so hard to smell the scent as it disappeared right away, I was kind of nose blind and then the scent just appeared later, something similar happens to hkperfumes the exit, I don’t smell it and then it just on my skin and I feel the scent of it. I don’t know how it works and why it does that but both Le labo and this one are doing same things , you smell it then it disappears and then it comes back, so I would say it’s more a skin scent which I don’t mind and still like it.

This fragrance SURPASSES all of my expectations. I thought it will be nice. One spray and my daughter who is nineteen who never, I mean never says anything about any of my fragrances and I have about 600 or so. So, I like perfume don't judge me! Says, Mommy I need this in my life what is that? I give her the sample that was so kindly gifted of the same fragrance I just bought. Reordered her one and a back up bottle of Avery's New Era. Told her tonight it just shipped and will be here in a couple of days. She let me know her sample wasn't enough and she'd be using mine until it came and told me and her Papa that is what she's going to be smelling like for a while because this is the scent that's been haunting her Dreams. Now, I'm just waiting for her identical twin to tell me the same so I can order her one because they're like that, tell me the same thing just at different times. Naw..it's that good I'm going to preemptively order her one too. Darn Tiktok, found me another perfume house that bangs. My husband loves there from his hometown. He says they definitely represent. He loved it too!

City in Italy is truly the best dupe I’ve tried for the original…and I’ve tried a couple: Oakcha’s Italian Cello & Riifs Fleurie Emerald. I have the original too so I’ve played compare a couple of times 😁 it’s super accurate. I bought the extrait version from this site and it’s actually longer lasting than the OG.

I just placed a second order for a couple of other scents and I really can’t wait to try and compare. I’m very impressed!

Jury is still out!

This has a strange opening to my nose that I don't particularly like. The opening is fairly different than the OG. After the dry down it gets much closer. Hoping that this scent will mature on the shelf for a few months and get better.

If you like PDM Oajan, this is a must buy. One of the better dupes I've tried.
